Honored with the Greater Lansing Chamber ATHENA Award in 2007 and a member of the ATHENA International Board of Directors from 2017 until December 2023, Sheri is the highly esteemed 5, 6, and 11 o’clock news anchor for WLNS TV 6 in Lansing. She stands as a paragon of journalistic excellence. With a career spanning 35 years, Sheri has not only become a trusted source of news but also a cherished figure in the Mid-Michigan community. Her warm, steady, and compassionate presence has made her a beloved anchor, earning the respect and admiration of viewers and colleagues alike.
Sheri’s illustrious career is adorned with numerous accolades, reflecting her dedication to the craft of journalism. As an inductee of the Michigan Journalism Hall of Fame, Sheri's contributions have been rightfully recognized, marking her as a respected journalist in the state. Her commitment to excellence is further evidenced by her membership in prestigious organizations such as the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame and the Silver Circle of the Michigan chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Debbie Peterson: A Catalyst for Leadership and Clarity
Debbie Peterson served on the ATHENA Board from 2016 through December 2023. A dynamic motivational keynote speaker and Clear Impact Leadership Strategist, she has dedicated her career to empowering professionals across the country. Through her speaking and consulting business, Debbie travels extensively, equipping individuals with the tools and strategies to excel in their careers, businesses, and personal lives. Her Clear Impact programming has consistently helped participants increase focus, momentum, and motivation, translating their visions into actionable success.
Debbie’s expertise shines through her 'Getting to Clarity' Podcast and her book, Clarity: How Smart Professionals Create Career Success on Their Terms. These resources provide invaluable insights and practical strategies for leaders at all stages, emphasizing success without sacrifice. Her achievements in the speaking industry are highlighted by her Certified Speaking Professional Designation, an honor bestowed upon only 17% of professional speakers worldwide. Additionally, her certifications in NeuroLinguistic Programming (NLP) and her study of Huna demonstrate her commitment to personal and professional growth.
As an advocate for professional women leaders, Debbie has played a pivotal role in ATHENA International since 2015. Her leadership as Immediate Past Chair of the Board has been instrumental in advancing the organization’s mission to support, develop, and honor women leaders. Debbie’s passion for empowering others extends beyond her professional endeavors, as she enjoys spending time with her husband, Tom, chasing sunshine from Pennsylvania to Florida each year.
